Important Message
RTE has acknowledged that it broadcast incorrect information about the financial position of St Raphael’s during a piece on the credit union sector on Morning Ireland this morning.
RTE did not contact us before broadcasting the incorrect information. We contacted them immediately to highlight that their information was incorrect, that St Raphael’s has reported strong surpluses throughout the economic downturn and that it is one of the strongest credit unions in the country.
As a result of our intervention, RTE agreed to broadcast a correction on its News at One programme using wording that was approved by us. It has also published a correction on the Morning Ireland website: http://www.rte.ie/news/morningireland/
Separately, we have been in contact with the Sunday Independent seeking a correction in respect of an inaccurate article that appeared last weekend. We await a response from this newspaper.
Our full financial details will be presented at our AGM this evening.

Preparation Course – New Recruits
St. Raphael’s Garda Credit Union are pleased to announce that we are holding preparation courses to facilitate those that are planning on applying to become a member of An Garda Siochana.
There are two courses due be held at St. Raphael’s Head Office, 1-2 Fox and Geese, Naas Road, Dublin 22.
Applicants should chose either course 1 or course 2 to attend:

History Course: 1916 Rising
A GUIDE TO THE 1916 RISING
The 8 week evening course examines Ireland politically and socially in the latter part of the 19th Century and early part of the 20th century. It includes all aspects of the Easter Rising 1916 from planning, Key individuals , Easter week hostilities and the execution of leaders. DMP and RIC involvement will be explored

Celebrating 50 Years Together

App Survey Feedback
Thanks to all of you who responded to the recent survey on the roster App. We got over 1,200 responses and you provided great feedback on the uses and features within the App. We have analysed the various suggestions made and are looking to introduce a couple of changes as a result.
We did get a very small number of users who were having difficulties with events, and in particular events getting deleted when the App is launched or upgraded. We would like to get to the bottom of this issue and would ask that you could contact either Fiona or David on 0818 247 365 if you have come across the issue.
