It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh (Hue) Gallagher on 5th February 2015, former Director and Manager of St Raphael’s, and father of Karl who is a current Director.

Hue was originally from Donegal and served in the H district for many years.

Hue is fondly remembered by staff and directors, former and current, of St Raphael’s Garda Credit Union. He was involved as a Director of the credit union from 1966 to 1980. In 1980 he became the budget account manager and helped build the budget account service into the wonderful service that we know today.

In 1984 to 1991, he was general manager and is remembered fondly by all the staff that served with him as a true gentleman.

Hue was also a poet and his poem “Memories” is proudly on permanent display in our reception area.

Funeral Arrangements:

Removal from Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Church Avenue, Blanchardstown this Monday morning at 10am to St. Michan’s Church, Halston’s Street, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00 o’clock, followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery

May he rest in peace.
