Topaz Fuel Card
Switch from Esso to Topaz fuel cards
Following a review of the services provided to our members the Board of Directors of St. Raphael’s Garda Credit Union have decided to cease its current relationship with ESSO effective from the 1st April 2013.
Topaz has been appointed to supply St Raphael’s Garda Credit Union members with fuel cards with the following benefits:
- Access to over 350 Topaz stations
- 3.5 cent discount per litre of fuel purchased
- Ability to purchase car washes and oil

Garda Medical Aid Benefit Payments
Benefits from Garda Medical Aid paid directly to St Raphael’s Garda Credit Union Ltd.
From 1st April, St Pauls Medical Aid will only pay claim cheques twice a year. Electronic payments will be made weekly. You can now have your medical claims paid directly into your credit union account. All you need to do is provide your account details to St Paul’s Medical Aid Society. They need St Raphael’s Sorting Code which is 99 10 00 and your 8 digit account number. This can be found on your statement next to account number. Feel free to contact the credit union for your account details if you cannot locate them.

A mark of respect for Garda Adrian Donohoe
As a mark of respect for our late colleague and member, Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe, the offices of St Raphael’s Garda Credit Union will remain closed until 1pm on Wednesday, 30th January .
We are all deeply saddened at the terrible loss and our thoughts are with his family, colleagues and friends at this difficult time.

Fuel Card Services
To all Members,
Following our recent announcement that we were switching fuel card providers from Esso to Topaz we received a lot of feedback from members which indicated that most of you would like to choose between garages, rather than having discount only available through one source. With this in mind, we have decided to take the opportunity to explore this option further with the main fuel card suppliers and will let you know as soon as this review is complete.
In the meantime, Esso cards will continue to work and we will be back to all members with a comprehensive update over the coming weeks.
